Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon makes the most dependable candidate for aging, more often improving into a truly great wine than any other single varietal. With age, its distinctive black currant aroma can develop bouquet nuances of cedar, violets, leather, or cigar box and its typically tannic edge may soften and smooth considerably.
It is the most widely planted and significant among the five dominant varieties in the Medoc district of France's Bordeaux region, as well as the most successful red wine produced in California.
recent genetic studies at U.C. Davis have determined that Cabernet Sauvignon is actually the hybrid offspring of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc.
Cabernet sauvignon berries are small, spherical with black, thick and very tough skin. This toughness makes the grapes fairly resistant to disease and spoilage and able to withstand some autumn rains with little damage. It is a mid to late season ripener. These growth characteristics, along with its flavor appeal have made Cabernet Sauvignon one of the most popular red wine varieties worldwide
The best growing sites for producing quality wines from Cabernet Sauvignon are in moderately warm, semi-arid regions providing a long growing season, on well-drained, not-too-fertile soils. Vineyards in Sonoma County's Alexander Valley, much of the Napa Valley, and around the Paso Robles area of the Central Coast
Cabernet Sauvignon wines smell like black currants with a degree of bell pepper or weediness, varying in intensity with climatic conditions, viticulture practices, and vinification techniques.
In the mouth, Cabernet can have liveliness and even a degree of richness, yet usually finishes with firm astringency. Some of the aroma and flavor descriptors most typically found in Cabernet Sauvignon are:

Cabernet Sauvignon began to emerge as America's most popular varietal red wine in the mid-60s. By the late 1980s, it had replaced "burgundy" as a consumer's generic term for red wine (as had Chardonnay, replacing "chablis" as the equivalent for generic white wine). This popularity was based partly on the flavor appeal of the grape and partly on its status or snob-appeal as a "collector's" wine. Indeed Cabernet Sauvignon is the wine most subject to inflationary climb, as fans, collectors, and theNouveau Riche bid the supply ever upward.
Bombay Sapphire
The translucent blue glass of the BOMBAY Sapphire gin bottle is recognized around the
world but it’s the quality of the spirit inside which has established the reputation of
BOMBAY Sapphire for creating an endless number of exceptional cocktails. Just as the
blue BOMBAY Sapphire bottle sets it apart, the taste of BOMBAY SAPHHIRE is also
unlike any other gin or any other spirit.

Vapour Infusion
The creation of Bombay sapphire gin is truly unique. There are only a few Carterhead stills
remaining in the world today and three are exclusive to Bombay sapphire. Unlike many
other gins, which boil their botanicals directly in the spirit to achieve their taste, the 10
botanicals in Bombay Saphhire are held separate from the spirit in a perforated copper
basket. The Carterhead stills remove any last impurities in the spirit vapour before it passes
up through the basket and in a process known as vapour infusion it is delicately infused
with the aromatic flavours of the botanicals. The result is the complex and refined taste
which gives Bombay sapphire its extraordinary mixability.

Hennessy X.O
The first X.O since 1870

Tasting
Woody spicy, vanilla, matured fruits, structured, cinnamon

Serving
Hennessy X.O can be served neat, but is also often enjoyed “ on the rocks”: a great tasting experience. “When I add ice to my X.O this immediately releases the subtle flavours and aromas of this magnificent cognac”, says Mr. Gilles Hennessy, 7th generation of the legendary Cognac family.

Composition
Hennessy X.O is a blend of around one hundred old “eaux-de-vie” from cognac’s finest growing regions, carefully matured in our cellars.

History
Great grandson of the Founder of the House of Hennessy, Maurice Hennessy was inspired by his intuition that modernity and rarity would become synonymous, hence he created this orginal “ extra old” cognac.
HISTORY
James and John Chivas' ambition was 'to provide customers with products of the highest quality.' Because the Single Malts of the time were harsh and often poorly matured, they dreamt of creating a whisky that could be easily appreciated and shared amongst friends. This was soon realised as the store in Aberdeen became an Epicurean delight. As well as scouring the Highlands and Lowlands in their search for fine things for their wealthy clientele to eat and drink, they provided products from all across the world - rich coffee, exotic spices, the finest French Brandies and rums from the Caribbean. They found however that they were unable to provide a whisky that met their exacting standards.
It was this passion for blending superb whiskies and years of perfecting their art, that led to the creation of the ultimate blend, that of Chivas Regal.

The start of the 20th Century and America was in the full glory of cultural adolescence, bursting with energy and optimism. Construction was booming and New York was fast catching up with London, the theatre capital of the world, gaining in clout, size and sophistication . This is when Chivas Regal was created, targeted at this fast expanding Northern American market. It entered the market in the Autumn of 1909 and by December 1909, the Chivas Brothers agents were already wiring Aberdeen requesting more stock of Chivas Regal. By May 1910, less than one year after entering the market, Chivas Regal had become the most talked about of new imported consumer goods among the well-to-do stratum of New York Society.
Chivas Regal is justifiably proud of its Scottish ancestry, but the real secret of this iconic whisky and its commercial success lies across the Atlantic. It's here that James and John Chivas' vision met the American people's growing appetite for life - and the rest, as they say, is history.

After World War II, America was once again a land of incredible optimism and razzmatazz. The war had been won and America was experiencing a new age of prosperity. These were the Golden Years: America was changing dramatically. Affluence had brought worldly success, and now that attention was firmly on fun and living life to the full. The "Rat Pack" captured the mood of this era more than anyone. And at the heart of it all??.. Chivas Regal.
Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and the rest. Cooler than the ice in a heavy tumbler of Chivas Regal, wise guys every one of them, sizing everyone up, then giving them the golden tap on the shoulder and bringing them in. They performed on stage together, acted together and partied together. Chivas Regal soon became a symbol of their exuberant lifestyle - a luxury that seemed to mirror both their enthusiasm for life and the underlying quality that provided the foundation for their self-belief.

James and John Chivas had a vision to create a blended whisky to be enjoyed and shared. It's a vision that was fulfilled years later - in the form of Chivas Regal. Their inspiration is still ever present today. Chivas Regal is the world's favourite premium whisky - enjoyed in over 200 countries. So wherever you are, you'll find Chivas Regal at the heart of almost any occasion where good times are being shared with friends. Welcome to 'The Chivas Life'.
